One thing you will never ever learn in the M$M is that the disruptive protests at the Seattle WTO meant that the meetings that would have forced GMO's down the throats of the European populace were not held. So now we do have some independent researchers in Europe who are able to study GMO's and come up with important conclusions - such as University of Caen (France) researchers recently discovering that there are indications that GMO foods are damaging to our kidneys and livers. (But who among us really needs their kidneys or liver working properly?)

Toxic Dumping and Coverups

If you're talking about PCBs, Agent Orange, Bovine Growth Hormone, water privatization, bio-piracy, untested/unlabeled genetically engineered organisms, or persecuting small family farmers, you're talking about Monsanto...

Another coverup, and NOTE: it is every bit as important as the Love Canal Style of managing toxins, is that many toxins are SOLD TO US CONSUMERS. Glade, Febreeze, Lysol, all those spray-them- everywhere products advertised as allowing for your home and small business remain "odor and germ free" - those products contain (among other things) large enough amounts of formaldehyde, alkyls, phenols and benzene that the World Health Organization used to warn consumers about them.

This way the big chemical manufacturers don't have to worry about taking dreaded chemicals off to the Super Fund sites. (An expensive habit to have to employ.) Instead they sell us those chemicals to spray in the air of our personal environments! This means they profit in several ways - one: no cost of dealing with the Super Funds. Two: they make a profit when YOU pay them for the toxins. Three: when you get cancer - they then can have you as a customer of their pharmaceutical subsidiaries! Win! Win! Win!

4. It is scary. Reading up on Monsanto - I find out that
These low Trans fat itemsnow in our groceries are labeled that because they contain oil from the GMO soybeans that Monsanto has patented.

So if you eat some of that stuff, you are not going to get healthier - liver and kidney damage is not a good thing to endure, even if products are lower in terms of the Trans fats.. (University of Caen Researcher is saying that there are indications that the GMO's are not good for our kidneys and liver.)

6. Very good point. Vilsack has been
Making me sick for quite a long time.

And last week I caught Bill Clinton speaking at something called "The Global Health Initiative" which has as one of its subsidiaries something called "The Global Food Distribution Initiative"

I am imagining that despite all the happy talk and posturing slogans - "Good for the health of the poor," "This is being done for the children," a lot of this is about putting huge amounts of money into the coffers of Big Pharma (In the case of "The Global Health Initiative") and the coffers of Big Agri-Interests like Monsanto when it comes to "The Global Food Distribution Initiative."
