Does John McCain have a long tie or a short body?

I'd do this as a poll but I don't know how. I thought it was just that awful pink tie of his that was too long but I saw him with a long green one on today on TV. He looked like he might trip over it.

He appears very out of proportion..I'm not criticising or picking on him about it, it's just distracting in a weird way..until you figure it out. We noticed it the other day when he was on the Daily Show.
