That damned Edwards email machine....
Look, I like Edwards and have an incredible amount of respect for Elizabeth. If he's the nominee in '08, he has my vote, no complaints.

Personally, I'd go happy-happy apeshit if Gore got into the campaign, but suspect it's really just too late for that to happen.

I'm not going to knock myself out at this point supporting the Edward's campaign and have pretty much resigned myself to voting a straight party line ticket when the time comes around.

How do I get off this damned mailing list, though??!! I've tried opting out using an email sent by "John Edwards." I got another from "David Bonior, for Edwards." Opted out again, got another from "John Edwards." Opted out again, got another from "Joe Trippi, for Edwards." It might not be so annoying, except that all of these emails lead to the same Edwards '08 site.

Maybe I'm wrong about this....I liked Dean's campaign in '04 because he made a lot of information and opportunities available over the internet. There finally came a point then where I realized I was checking the Dean for America page daily and opted out of further emails. Why get the emails when I'm already glued to the screen waiting for the next update? Oddly enough, opting out worked there.

I'm left with the feeling that whoever is running Edward's campaign simply got the idea that the internet is a powerful moneymaking tool, so spam is the way to maximize returns? It's like I had a favorite neighborhood coffee house in '04, and now some asshole is insisting on building a Starbucks in my living room.

Anyway, sorry for bitching, hope no one takes this as an attack on Edward's positions or potential for success as the democratic front-runner in the months to come.

2. Well there is a button on your email page
that says "delete". You should also have another one that says "spam".

3. hmmm Sounds familiar. Remember the last VA election? Democratic voters were harrassed

by robo-calls that at 1st sounds like it came from the Democratic Party but which really came from the Republican Party. The message was long and you didn't hear that it was a republican message until the last sentence.

If you hung up on the robocall it called back. If you let it go through to the machine it called back. It called at dinner, in the middle of the night, and in the early morning.

It made people absolutely livid at Democrats.

BTW campaigns aren't bound by the Do Not Call list.

6. Thanks Crickkett
You're right about that, I was robo-called with "Clinton" messages in '06 to the point of taking the phone off the hook.

I don't think this is something John or Elizabeth Edwards would support, but I'm not sure over-zealous campaign managers wouldn't pursue the tactic. And, if it is an over-zealous campaign manager, they need to be booted before this campaign gets down to the line. If it's RNC shit, it needs to be nipped in the bud.

Al isn't going to announce until a few of the unqualified have had their day and ran out of $$$$$ then he will announce...and he will.
