Imagine if there were consecutive 9/11 type events immediately after the first one?

I can most certainly believe that a V for Vendetta type situation could happen in this country.

1. I didn't think they were heroes that day
or any day after that.

He was hiding prior to that.

13. Right.
I believe his first public statement after the attack was considered other than heroic.

It was sickening the way people wrapped themselves up in both Bush and Giuliani on that day and the days that followed.

For me it was the most frightening aspect of that day and the days that followed - how people reacted...lets you know just how quickly they would embrace a tyrant for a little false security...and in the guise of solidarity too. Ick.

12. 9/11
Exactly, Bush pictured at the school looked like he just pissed his pants........
and then he didnt get to Washington until that night, all he did was stand on the spot
with that F-IN bullhorn and said a few things, that seemed to make the right wingers orgasm
all over themselves...........and that was it.....nothing else.

7. I did admire Rudy's leadership
during that time but I wouldn't call him a hero.

But his leadership skills were strong. At least someone took it upon themselves to lead. He did ease the city's worries and fears a bit and I did respect him for it.

Bush was a coward then and he still is one.

11. I guess we interpret
leadership differently. He did a hell of a better job then Shrub did, imo, of trying to ease the concerns and worries of the city and that's what was needed at the time.

9. Rudy is no hero
and the majority of New Yorkers KNOW that. If anything, his incompetence caused MORE deaths on 9/11, and afterward.
