Col. John Eidsmoe and the Wisconsin Tea Party

MADISON — Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on the news that neo-Confederate author Col. John Eidsmoe, who since has withdrawn, had been invited to speak to a Wisconsin "Tea Party" rally April 15 in Wausau.

"The Wisconsin Tea Party leadership invited Col. John Eidsmoe to speak to their April 15 event in Wausau. They showed tremendous lack of judgment in extending their invitation to Eidsmoe, whose bonafides include membership in a group that believes slavery was ordained by God and who only a few months ago praised Jefferson Davis at the expense of Abraham Lincoln.

Every major Republican candidate in Wisconsin has embraced the Tea Party, and now they must ask themselves how this movement came to be associated with the likes of John Eidsmoe.

Do they embrace his ideology? How do they explain that, for weeks, Col. Eidsmoe received top billing for one of their events? What do they know now that they didn't know before that made them ask, in the face of media inquiries, that Eidsmoe step down?

5. American Slavery was "Chattel Slavery," the worst in humankind.

The history of slavery shows that in ancient times slaves were "war-booty," and slaves and slave owners were every color of all the humans on earth. It was NOT always a given that the offspring of slaves were property. It was also not unusual for a slave to marry into the ownership family and even end up as the family patriarch.

This was 100% different than the American system of "chattel" slavery. The entire concept of "racism," is evolved from when American slavers eventually began to see only African slaves or bond servants on the blocks. Blacks as slaves and whites as owners theorized as "ordained by God" came into being only after time that it became established as an EASY (think stupid runaway-slave hunters) way to distinguish owner from slave by skin color.

Since only Africans,(NOT native Americans or Europeans) had the superiorly strong immune systems, from hundreds of centuries of world-wide trade routes, that made it possible to treat them in such inhumane ways, and for the Africans to still endure. White slave owners rationalized the strength of the African as a sign of their mental inferiority.

DEEP IN THE RACIST unconsciousness, the idea of a strong, healthy, black man that is also their mental superior just "does NOT compute, does Not compute, does NOT compute."

I'm not scared of the RW at the voting booth, I fear these racist extremists killing other people who disagree with them.
