Tea drinkers against the "Tea Party"
I've been drinking tea most of my life. I guess some might consider me a tea aficionado. I really resent these RW nut jobs associating my favorite beverage with their "movement". What can us tea drinkers do to reclaim our brew from the wingnuts?

I thought about joining the Coffee Party, but I really dislike coffee, and felt it would be hypocritical of me to do so.

1. me too - tea drinker. keep on calling them 'bags'

loose tea by the pound is cheaper then bagged tea and you have more choices.

'bag' has several different meanings that have nothing to do with tea. so I call them 'bags'.

(for yrs. I've dealth with a family tea business - Simpson and Vail. just to give this fine company a boost in this economy)

2. I like S&V as well.
For a while they had Karakatia, the best single estate Assam I've ever had, but the plantation seems to have stopped picking, alas.

3. Do you know whether S&V is available in the greater-Boston area?
I'd love to give it a try.

BTW, I also resent these "baggers" claiming ownership of a significant historical event in my part of the country. Many a Massachusetts liberal would love to see them leave our local history out of their particular anti-govt conniption.

9. Ironic, isn't it, that the tea partiers are probably not tea drinkers
Since it's been my observation that tea drinkers are more likely to be liberals.

10. Had to switch to tea because coffee was raising my blood pressure too high
I adjusted to the lower caffeine, but it's a damn shame what these idiots have done to the good name of tea. :evilfrown:
