Rove lashes out -- at Fox & Friends hosts

Karl Rove spent Sunday morning berating the choir.

Fox & Friends was teeing it up for the Fox contributor - asking Rove to comment on a tape of Code Pinkers being arrested at his book signing in California - when the former Bush adviser slammed his otherwise solicitous co-hosts for even bringing the matter up.

At a March 30 book signing in Beverly Hills, Jodie Evans, co-founder of the anti-war group, strode across a stage toward Rove with handcuffs calling him a "war criminal." She was removed, but Rove scrapped the appearance after about 10 more protesters chimed in.

"This is sad, you people are recycling stuff that happened three to four weeks ago, this is a small blemish on what was a great trip," intoned Rove, even though one of the trio of co-hosts suggested Rove had been bullied by the protesters.

"It was a blemish!" he continued, pointing out that he had addressed crowds of 350 to 500 in Fresno, Modesto and Northern California without incident on the same swing to promote his new autobiography.

Then five nuts come - please don’t paint this as much a sign of anything...These are sort of sad and pathetic people... Can you imagine being some kind of nut wandering around with handcuffs? Let's not give them any more attention."

The anchors were unapologetic about asking the question, but seemed surprised by Rove's reaction.

"God bless you for being back on the show," Clayton Morris said, as the segment ended.

1. Not surprising
Karl's not really one for introspection and focusing on the negative. Besides, he was there to sell books and wasn't going to waste time on opposing viewpoints.
Remind me again why he isn't in jail.

boo-f**kin-hoo for the current king of dirty politics. He inherited that title from Lee Atwater.

I do not care if I get struck by lightning..but I hope he comes to the same end as Atwater.

14. A blemish? Then history will judge Karl as the worst adviser ever
to a POTUS. Karl is so in denial, people look at him as the worst thing to ever happen to the planet.

16. He's an infected Boil
Damn,

Code Pink must have really pissed him off.

He could have watched the tape and just mocked them like the hosts thought he would.

He knows that even so called "bad publicity" is great for Code Pink Ha Ha
