10. Alley got pissed at FiOS due to spotty TV control programming and price creep.
We have had comcast and Direct TV for the last year or two, but we are switching back. Verizon is running a killer promotion for former FiOS customers bundling phone, internet and T.V. $92 for the first 6 months, and for 1 1/2 more years at $112 a month for two T.V's with multi media HD DVR that can access our computer contents like music, videos, and images via the T.V's. The pricing is guaranteed for two years, and because we were former customers there is no contract.

Man-cub and I missed the fiber optic speed, and we both hope Verizon's TV control interface has been improved enough to keep the Queen Bee happy.

Mmmmm, fiber optic speeds.. I think I'll start looking around for an online game to play.

3. I'm a new customer too, seems to be working okay for me.
Didn't really want to do business with 'em, but geographically can't accommodate a dish.
Had only dial up until last month, so slow I know.

4. It came to a complete stop for a bit
I dropped off and just came back on and it seems OK. Maybe there is some site maintenance going on?

7. Not slow, but I can't get rid of annoying ads for some reason
bunch of crap devil 666 stuff and ad-block won't keep it off, nor will my donor status with ads off.

Elad is working on it, but am wondering if I need an exorcist ;)

9. I have Comcast in Tucson
Have been running test, my down & upload speeds have been terrible. Called Comshit & they reset my modem on their end, worked for awhile as usual but still not right.

11. We were told we should expect 3Mbpm down load speed w/ comcast.
I've twice tested it and our actual speed is between 1 and 1.5 Mbps download and about 250Kbps upload. FiOS's lowest plan (which we had, and now are switching back too) is 15Mbps downstream and 3Mbps upstream. Not too shabby.
