Former Top CIA Agent Believes Osama Bin Laden Will Die Of Old Age

SANBORN, NY - One of the top men at the CIA in charge of tracking Osama Bin Laden, both before and after September 11th, believes that Osama Bin Laden may never be killed or captured, instead that he will die of old age.

"When we invaded Iraq we convinced the Muslim world that what Bin Laden was calling for - a defensive Jihad - was exactly right . It was a case of an infidel country occupying a Muslim country, without provocation," he said.

'experts'? This guy is a CIA alum, so he knows more than we do, but doesn't necessarily know the whole truth.

In addition to being so sickly in such a hostile environment (although $$$ can buy a lot of equipment and medical care), I think we would be seeing videos of him that PROVE he's alive. Not just footage with no sound with a voiceover purported to be OBL.

Of course that was before the Bush administration, and the rest of the US military industrial complex, realized that a "live" bin Laden was more useful to them than a dead one. Which is why all the sudden we started seeing pictures and tapes of the fat bin Laden, the young bin Laden, etc.

These wars have been based on many lies, and they are being continued by many lies, but one of the most egregious is that bin Laden is alive. The powers that be realize that if bin Laden turns up dead, much of the rationale for currents wars is gone.

17. Interestingly, after I read this thread, Richard Clarke was on with Tweety, and

he said "we know OBL is still alive, but we don't know where. If he's in Pakistan, he's probably not in a cave somewhere, but a comfortable (word I was unfamiliar with)." He said the last time they saw him or had proof was in 2001.

It seems as though they're downplaying -- or at least not beating the drum of -- OBL these days. Almost as though he's almost inconsequential. Well, the Dems are anyway, the Reps still love using him as the boogeyman.

I think, if they want to continue the wars -- or start new ones -- they can always 'make their case' -- truthfully or with lies. Sigh.

He's dead. Benazir Bhutto said so before she died and others have said so as well. I think his body was returned to his family either in Saudia Arabia or Yemen who buried him and are keeping it secret. I think the CIA knows as well, but if it becomes known it puts our Government and our wars in a very bad light. They need the fig leaf of an alive and menancing Osama bin Laden to justify what we have done in the ME.
