ooh ooh, the Freepers are calling us names ooh ooh we should ignore them
turn the other cheek, smile, be Christian about it, ooh ooh ooh they called us a dirty word, ooh ooh we need to be more sensitive to their feelings.

From 1981 till 1993 and again from 2001 till 2009, the Freepers controlled the White House. The also controlled both the House and Senate (with time off for bad behavior thanks to Jim Jeffords) from 1995 till 2006. Even now, having NO control except the threat of filibuster, they continue to attack the President, Speaker of the House, Senate majority leader JUST as they did from 1981 through 1995. They forced the impeachment of President William Jefferson Clinton over sex, they STOLE the election in 2000 with a compliant Supreme Court, and nearly bankrupted this country while killing thousands of our citizen soldiers and killing and maiming hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in two unnecessary wars. And we as Democrats worry about being civil to them.

What the fuck is wrong with us? Is it any wonder they piss all over us election after election, and are making a comeback where they were never expected to? Why bother fighting. What's the point. We might as well invite them for cake and cookies and give them our wallets too.

1. They are the bandar-log
We should pay no more attention to them than to the chattering of the monkey folk.

4. We are just too damn nice for our own good.
Besides, we need to be able to look ourselves in the mirror, and be able to say we took the high road.

I firmly believe that we can take that high road......and still show some spine.

We don't need to be sensitive to their feelings.

We need to be true to ours.

6. Showing spine and wining elections, something the Pukes know much about
We've taken the high road with little success, and if we lose either House in November, will it be because we took the high road? I think so.

9. I actually think that the Party wants to lose the Senate
then they won't have to pretend that they're fighting the Repubs anymore, like with the Health Insurance Reform. It'll provide the perfect cover to keep up their corporate enabling, and keep the cash flowing.

7. If we were not civil to them
the nation would collapse. It would be better if both sides were civil, but at least one side needs to be civil or it will erupt into war.

21. I really doubt that. Bullies all have one thing in common. They
are cowards. As long as people back down to bullies, they will continue, and be emboldened by their 'success'. But when they finally run into someone who not only doesn't back down, but stands up to them, bullies run for the hills. That's why they only pick on who they perceive to be weak.

They've been told that Democrats are weak and they believed it. Democrats played into that belief by thinking it was best either to ignore them, or not to challenge them.

Notice how they don't go on the Rachel Maddow or Keith Shows. That's because they know what will happen to them there. They will be challenged. But they go on MTP and other 'respectable' shows, because they knew that people like Tim Russert eg, would never go after them on their lies. He'd raise a question which would give the impression that maybe he was going to challenge them, then he would let them lie. After that he would move on to another topic.

8. We are at a clear disadvantage.
We can think, we can put two and two together and get four, we are truly empathetic and we genuinely want fair treatment for everyone. FReepers are not logical, are unable to foresee consequences to their shitty policies, couldn't care less about anybody who isn't just like them, and believe God gives his gifts only to those who deserve them. They are willing to kill for their beliefs and we, so far, have not been so willing.

13. I have no trouble doing so, but as a group, you may be right.
How would it benefit us to "officially" call them assholes?

11. William Jefferson Clinton was investigated because the Repukes hated him, but he was impeached...
because he didn't have the common sense to not lie under oath.

17. I'm splitting hairs? :) You think denying that you had sexual relations with someone...
because they put your co*k in their mouth instead of in their vag*** is NOT splitting hairs? The hairs were split, over a decade ago; I'm just recalling them now.

Point is, Bill Clinton was investigated because the Necons were desperate to get ANYTHING on him, but fact is he was IMPEACHED because he wanted to lie, and then feign stupidity, instead of owning up as a man to an honest momentary lapse in judgement. And the blowback from that lie, and then feigned stupidity, is still affecting us today.
