<snip>
She has yet to be mentioned by regulators, but one Goldman Sachs Group ex-employee could shed light on a mortgage-linked security at the center of the accusation that the firm defrauded investors.

Gail Kreitman, the former Goldman bond saleswoman, is not named as a defendant in the Securities and Exchange Commission's lawsuit against Goldman and another of the investment firm's bond salesmen, Fabrice Tourre. Kreitman is not even identified by name in the complaint.

But Kreitman, who left Goldman in June 2009, was interviewed by securities regulators during the course of their 18-month investigation, and some of her email communications are cited by the SEC in the 22-page complaint.

The SEC points to some of Kreitman's emails as part of its claim that Goldman and Tourre misled ACA Capital Management, the outside manager tapped to oversee the transaction, about hedge fund giant Paulson & Co's economic interest in the deal.

4. It Never Has Been
They've made a good target since they were some of the biggest wheeler-dealers and got the most fed bailout money, but they weren't the only players at this casino. If there's a true and thorough investigation, we'll find every major bank and investment house with dirty hands as well as a ton of insider trading and other ways they "gamed the system". I'm hoping the flood comes out as McChinless and his Wall Street lackeys try to filibuster the upcoming bill.

6. I think they have pin-pointed several banks...
including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citicorp, and a couple of others that were more deeply entrenched in the derivatives market than even Goldman Sachs. If this is thoroughly investigated, we will discover a lot.

9. rip it off quick like a bandaid and get it over with...+1 for GM also
See UK inquiry...would i be surprised if more banks / hedge funds have intentionally defrauded pension funds? no.

lets not get our hopes up for coverage though. most nyers feel like they should support wall st. by proxy, and our media is filled with people that happily consort with finance types.
