yes, if a filibuster is broken, you only need 51 to pass a bill.

I.e. Democrats filibuster ("You") and the Republicans ("other side") gives up then the bill dies.

If the Repubs filibuster and then finally one or two "give in," then the bill will come for a vote because we will have 60 or more votes for cloture. Then we only need 51 for the actual vote.
