I haven't heard even ONE TV or radio show today that hasn't made fun of his opponent,, the nut ball who wants to trade a chicken for her heath care! Earlier today, somewhere on DU I read a link that said once a candidate becomes a laughingstock it's almost impossible to recover. It also said this was HER Macca moment & I agree with BOTH statements!

Old Dr. Baker, the only MD in a 19th century rural farming community had to take chickens for payment in between harvests, if I remember correctly.

and no one sees JUST the doctor anymore. When you pay for an office visit, you're paying for the receptionist, the billing secretary, the nurse, the lab techs if you have any samples taken, the office cleaning staff, etc., etc.
