Lol, I love republican logic and desperation
I live in Mike Pence's district (I am really disappointed he is using the GOP lies about bailouts to block financial reform, I honestly thought he was above outright lying), and get emails from his campaign. I'm obviously not a republican, I just like keeping tabs.

Today I got an email claiming that health insurance reform bill is bad because it pushes people off the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), which is a plan for working poor adults that is heavily subsidized by the state. They will be moved to medicaid, or subsidized private insurance in 2014.

http://www.theindychannel.com/health/22917090/detail.html

Marcus Barlow, of the Family and Social Services Administration, said HIP participants will not be dropped overnight.

Participants will continue receiving HIP benefits, but in 2014, they will become Medicaid recipients.

Basically the argument against government funding and involvement in health care (the new health care bill) is that it will end a popular program based on (wait for it) government funding and involvement in health care, namely HIP. HIP is heavily subsidized, I think premiums are only 2-3% of gross income. I tried applying, but was turned down.

So socialism is bad because it destroys popular socialistic programs and replaces them with different socialistic programs.

1. They'll say anything about health care
No matter how ridiculous it is if there's a shade of a chance someone will believe it. I'm still in disbelief about Limbaugh trying to tie the volcano to hcr. What's next, HCR turned a town into zombies?

2. If the argument is that socialism is bad, then yes, this is ridiculous

however if HIP is a good program that the people of Indiana like, I can see where people might prefer it to medicare. Being a state-run plan, it's probably easier to work with the bureaucracy, and for the people of the state to influence change if there's something about the program that needs to be changed. Not a good argument if based on socialism, but I can see where it might gain traction with some for other reasons.

you can tell if Mike Pence is saying something contradictory, hypocritical, stupid or just plain lying his ass off is by checking to see if his mouth is moving. Just think, this moron is one of the right wing's best and brightest.
