I was there. I REMEMBER how it went down.

It did NOT go down the way he remembers it.

Is there no corpse that these ghouls will not defile?

1. Reagan's goons bribed the terrorists to release the hostages on election day
and embarrass the Democratic president. Even then, country was WELL below politics.

Reagan was the first Shrub. A patsy for more nefarious interests.

5. As we all remember, the fix was in for weeks. Only a complete scut-monkey would try and spin it
into some kind of Gooper victory.

The Iranians went right up Ronnie's back-door and he bent over and grabbed his ankles for it.

2. They looked in his eyes and winked about a large shipment
of arms and replacement parts needed to repair the Iranian air force.

And magically the hostages were freed.

Of course, the US does not negotiate with terrorists. Right.

4. It wasn't Reagan's eyes they looked at
it was the pile of cash and arms that Ollie North brought to pay them off with

6. I remember, too.
Since their constituents don't read, guess Ghouliani felt like "October Surprise" was OK to ignore.

And of course, the Iran-Contra affair. Since we're posed to go to war w/Iran, seems odd that they would vilify them in Ronnie's house, he was, oh so, chummy w/Iran back then. I recall that's how he was elected, don't you?

9. St Ronnie's newly-released diaries tell a different story
http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2007/06/reagan200706?printable=true¤tPage=all

Mon. Jan. 26, 1981 • A meeting on terrorism with heads of F.B.I.—S.S.—C.I.A. Sec's of St. Defense & others. Have ordered they be given back their ability to function. Next a cabinet meeting on the deal with Iran. Hostages will arrive in country tomorrow. It seems some of them had some tough questions for Carter in Germany as to why they were there so long and why they were there to begin with.

Hmm, October Suprise, anyone?

13. That's because Ronald Reagan had dollar signs where pupils are supposed to be.
I remember what happened. And if Ghouliana doesn't, he's non compos mentis and not fit to be president.

I'm sick of these asshats making a false, self-serving melodrama of history.

16. I wonder why he didn't mention the debacle in Beruit...
St. Ronnie's eyes weren't too stern then...he bugged out as fast as he could.

Strange how that incident is conveniently forgotten, and it was one of the flash points that showed some people in the ME that this nation could, and would be open to threats...:grr:
