Gay activists tell The Mouth that they plan to step up protests until they get a straight answer
The U.S. Park Police admitted it mishandled the press and other observers yesterday when six gay military vets, including ex-Army Lt. Dan Choi, cuffed themselves to the north fence of the White House grounds to demand an end to the Pentagon’s policy of “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

2. I think he could have by protocol issued a presidential executive order to suspend DADT
until it was acted on by congress to change the law. To me, that would have eased the tension and stopped needless dismissals in the meantime from the military.

3. The failure to stop the discharges is the real mystery of the whole thing.
Popular talking points to the contrary, everyone knows that it will take legislation to end the ban, but the president does have the power to suspend the dismissals, and why he hasn't acted, with 75% of the public supporting an end to DADT, is what has everyone a bit confused.

Oh wait, we aren't a monarchy and he can't make every change he wants on a whim. Damn! I miss those days!

Well at least they aren't out bothering the people who are adamantly against equal rights for all. Thankfully they are going after allies, which is always a smart strategy!
