Well, I watched the Pub debate, and I now know for sure I'm a DEM! |
|
I really always believed I would support any candidate who I agreed with at least 80% of tghe time. I guess I still feel that way, but tonight, I didn't agree with any of the 10 more than 2% at the most!
Probably the one that made the most sense to me was Ron Paul, but even HE is crazy abut taxes!
Each candidate had maybe 1 thing that made sense, but the rest of their positions were totally opposed to how I believe.
I guess most here on DU feel I'm being a traitor, but I don't look at it that way at all. I really want what's best for my Country and for me. The people I saw tonight looked like Shrub clones to me, and I sure want THAT attitude and administration to come to an end ASAP!

1. If you took the best response on every issue from the pool of candidates |
|
You'd have a typical Democrat. They allow each other the 80% rule, so these outliars are covered. But why not expect a candidate who is right on the issues 100%?
Except, of course, the Clinton question. They all were disgusting on their responses.

2. I don't think there will ever be any candidate that I agree with 100% of the time. |
|
I suspect that would make me a Pub sheeple. I listen to all of them, on both sides of the aisle. I was really surprised that I disagreed with 98% of what these 10 candidates said tonight!
Pick a subject. Health care, stem cell, abortion, Iraq, Iran, foreign policy in general, the Shiavo case...everything they talked about I disagreed with.
The only one I agreed with was Rudy when he said he didn't think Gov't had any right interfering with a women's rights, and Paul when he said gov't should stay the hell out of people's lives.
