This is why mankind should outlaw oil+water.
Mankind is simply too fucking stupid to bring oil anywhere near water.

Pollute, baby. Pollute.

1. Our species has cornered the market on being fucking stupid. Problem is, the stupid have the power
and are willing to use it.

4. The statute you propose is too fucking broad
Consider the following things that you would outlaw:

Mayonnaise
Hollandaise sauce
Milk
Vinaigrette
Espresso
Gravy
Ice Cream

Just to name a few.

5. I'm always so amused when people get bent out of shape AFTER an oil spill
as if the oil rigs and the pumping didn't exist before.

the people who complain the most usually have no idea what the term "energy carrier" means.

I also find it funny that these types of statement are written on computers which are made from plastic which intern is a product of oil.

Conservation and cutting back our need will lead us to a future of real alternative energy.

China uses 5% more oil year on year. The demand is only growing as India further industrializes and 3rd world nations, which only 20 years ago didn't use oil, are now demanding it.

When the oil shock hits and it will, the least of our worries will be an oil spill.

The gulf, for the most part is already dead due to fertilizer run off from farms. I'm not saying that this spill shouldn't or doesn't matter, but the fact is, we humans have already killed it.

the great barrier reef just had a massive spill, when the chinese tanker ran aground, gouged a huge rip in it, then dumped thousands of gallons into the ocean, how much coverage did that get? Not much at all.

people motor along, but get all pissed when suddenly our addiction causes a problem.

The great american disconnect.
