What a terrible thought that would be, thinking of how they would rape the Earth in their service to their God of Gods:

With the exception of DADT and Sotomayor I don't thing anything would have been too different.

However, we'd probably be complaining even more - but only because the prez has an (R) next to his name.
Handouts to Big Insurance and Big Pharma might have received more rethug support before passing, too.

...with McCain at the helm, steering the listing ship of state towards Iran, guns ablazin'. I wonder what form the "tea-baggers" would have taking under a McLame administration?

4. There wouldn't be any teabaggers.

We'd already be involved in war in Iran.
There'd be no health care reform.
No talk of financial reform.
No jobs bills.
No stimulus.
No unemployment extensions.
Many more would be unemployed and more business would have disappeared.
Even with the huge amount of money given to banks we'd be knee deep in global depression and war.

Thankfully that is not the case.

5. Actually I meant "Happy Earth Day" and I was referring to the environment

and what things would be like if for the past 40 years Republicans had controlled things and allowed industries that pollute to have free reign. We would endured decades of an anything goes policy as long as there was a buck to be made from it.

Certainly our air and water would be much worse and there would still be rivers catching fire.
There would also be thousands of deaths that would be as a result of our deteriorating environment.
