White Supremacist Richard Barrett murdered

Pearl Police, Rankin County Sheriff, state and federal investigators are looking for the person who murdered white supremacist Richard Barrett. His body was found in the back bathroom of his Pearl home Thursday morning. Police believe Barrett may have been trying to escape from his attacker. His body has been taken to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
Barrett’s neighbors called fire officials shortly before eight o’clock this morning to report a fire at 227 East Petros Road. Firemen discovered Barrett’s inside the home once they entered.
Barrett called himself the head of the Nationalists Movement. He was recently in the news supporting efforts at Ole Miss to bring back Colonel Reb as the school’s mascot. He made national headlines five years ago when he attempted to bring Edgar Ray Killen to a booth at the Mississippi State Fair. Killen was later arrested and convicted for his roll in the death of three civil rights workers in Neshobia County in the 1960s.

Anyway, I expect Rankin County will be as diligent in finding the murderer of Mr. Barrett as the authorities were in finding the killers of Schwerner, Goodman and Chaney. Although it wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out the perpetrator was a Nationalists Movement rival of Mr. Barrett.

that can't help but find some comfort in his death. Maybe that is sick, but he was a hateful hateful man.

I remember not too long ago at our state fair, he tried to get Edgar Ray Killen there in a booth for the public to meet and greet him. Thankfully, it didn't happen. There were lots of protests, but it was within his rights to do so. It was a big stink here.

36. I think many do. It is hard to rejoice over death, even of the nastiest of people,

but I will say it doesn't hurt my feelings. No one should be murdered. Murdering is completely wrong no matter what. But I can't even begin to understand. I am white and have never had such hatred pointed at me because of it.
