We had dinner with old friends, she is a NEW doctor
Edited on Fri Apr-23-10 10:51 PM by Omaha Steve

They left the R party and are now Independents. R's spent too much. She is in her 50's and and since we last saw them, she became a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She is against nurses unions. But says they need an "association to fight for them". Anti Obama. Anti health care. Her college loan rate went from 3% to over 10%. I can see why she is mad about the change to college loans that passed with health care.

Other than political differences the conversation and dinner were great.

3. She got a letter addressed to the parents of....

She told us the letter said Sally Mae told her her rate change was effective immediately.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

5. Sorry Steve, but,
I think she's lying about the student loans.

Three of my four adult children have said they are going to pay less because there wouldn't be a middleman (banks)

6. I guess she conveniently forgot the part where she'll never have to pay over 10% of her income
and all debt remaining after 10 years will be forgiven.
