Wichita tea partiers upset with parking tickets
WICHITA, Kan. - Organizers of a Tea Party in Wichita are upset that police wrote more than 70 parking tickets during an event last week.

Hundreds of people participated in a Tea Party gathering last Thursday near Wichita's City Hall.

Lynda Tyler, of Kansans for Liberty, admits that the people parked illegally in city lots that required permits. But she says many people were confused about using the City Hall garage, and no one was using the private lot during the evening rally.

Police Capt. Troy Livingston says officers responded when a citizen complained about the illegal parking. When one man refused to move his car, he got a ticket, and officers felt they had to ticket everyone else.

11. No wonder they hate government
Those pesky police enforce the laws. And I think I remember something about teabaggers not liking it when other people break laws but maybe they feel they're entitled.

...the arch-Republican partisan that he is, made damned sure that *EVERY*
attendee got ticketed for overtime parking. We were there for about two-
and-a-half hours in an area where the meters only went to two hours, but
for some reason, they managed to enforce that particular area of the city
the instant the meters expired.

Suck it up, Teabaggers.

15. This is when Liberals need to show up the night before their rally,
and post signs for free parking for the Tea Party rally. . .

I think some college kids did this awhile back for a Sarah Palin rally on a college campus. A whole bunch of tickets were wrote by campus police.

23. It truly is a bitch
to find parking around city hall, anyone who knows anything about the area knows you don't park on the private or reserved lots in that area. There is plenty of on street parking, you may have to walk a few blocks. Too bad, pay the fine or go to jail dumbshits.
