I just found out about this 2 day old story.

One hundred fifty-one Land Cruiser Prado sports utility vehicles (SUV) sold here since late last year are affected by the global recall of about 21,000 units due to skidding problems encountered in high-speed driving, a Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. official said on Wednesday.

Owners are advised to contact the local arm of the Japanese automotive firm to arrange for a free reprogramming of their units’ "vehicle stability control" program, the company said in a statement late on Monday.

The development came after more than 20 Toyota Prius hybrids in the Philippines were recalled in February to address faulty brakes.

This time, it is the Land Cruiser Prado with 18-inch wheels and fitted with the kinetic dynamic suspension system that is up for a "special service campaign," Toyota Philippines said.

2. These stories are great for those of us who want a good reliable vehicle at a low price..
I appreciate all the people panicking and screeching over Toyota vehicles because I like them and the panic is driving the prices down a lot from what they were a few years ago.

Another year or so of the hysteria and I figure I should be able to afford a Prius, keep it up please.

6. Auto insurance bases its rates on facts, not hysteria..
The Prius fatality rate per distance traveled is about half that of the average car.

7. Be informed.

Toyotas, Priuses in particular, come with a hefty consequence to workers, if you care about things like that.

8. Other cars do not come with such consequences?
In my experience there are consequences for everything.

I suspect it is more a matter of degree than of kind.

9. My car isn't linked to human trafficking
But your post is the sort of thing I'm used to seeing from people more interested in rationalizing their desires than being informed and acting on their supposed liberal principles. A lot of people talk the talk.

11. Right, your car is pure..
You have investigated the ultimate provenance of every single part in your car?

Of course the Prius will use less of the fossil fuel that is linked to supporting terrorism, anthropogenic global warming, ocean acidification and general all around badness.

Keep in mind that when you point the finger at someone else three more of yours are pointed back at you.
