My Brother- in- Law works for a plant company that pays Mexicans to come here
His company supplies him with Mexicans to do the manual labor. The company pays the Mexicans to come here. Sometimes they end up in jail for 5 days and have to go back. It seems to me it is the Corporations, or the owners of these businesses that need to be cracked down on hard. Oh yeah, the owners of this company are pot heads, but the workers, including my Brother-in-Law are randomly tested.

1. Corporations are untouchable and protected don't ya know.
THAT's the one big fat elephant in the room and NOBODY (in public office, M$M/GOP including Teabagging morons) ever mentions it.

I also wonder what would happen if the greedy corps that were so eager to move to Mexico actually had to pay a fair/competitive wage to its workers, would the immigration problem still be as severe as it is now.

You gotta wonder why no one (except on DU) has brought it up for discussion.

WI bill targeting businesses that hire illegal immigrants fails to pass

http://www.wxow.com/Global/story.asp?S=12357629

Republican Minority Leader Scott Fitzgerald objected to taking a vote on the bill Thursday, which effectively kills it for the year.

The bill had bipartisan support but a coalition of business interests, including those representing the state's powerful dairy and manufacturing industries, are lobbying against it.

Under the measure, any company that has hired illegal immigrants would be ineligible for income or franchise tax credits or property tax exemptions for seven years. They would also be ineligible to receive state and local government contracts during that period.

2. Exactly. This whole move in AZ is very cynical, in that the repukes are
pandering to their bigoted base, while knowing that they also have to allow their REAL base, big business to skirt the laws already on the books.

3. They'll crack down on the housewife and homeowner who hires a maid or gardener...
... not on agribusiness or chickenplucker plants who have their foremen recruit in bulk from back home.

Color me cynical at this point.

7. Smithfield does this too
as reported on Food,Inc. I stopped buying Smithfield years ago because of labor practices and dirty meat..This seems to be common all over U.S.

10. Of course it is..
... but it is not going to happen. The entire immigration debate is a farce, like every other policy debate in this country.
