The guy knew nothing about Jeff Gannon, Victor Ashe, or The Franklin Cover-up when I called the show and brought them up.

He said it sounded "far-fetched."

And then, when the NEXT two callers brought up Jeff Gannon, he not only appeared to know nothing about it, but said something like, "I don't want to impugn Jeff Gannon's reputation as a journalist just because he may or may not have been a prostitute."

Where the fuck did they FIND this joker?

Is he an idiot, a hack, a pretender, or just woefully unprepared?

I want Sam Seder back!

Yesterday he was adamant in saying that there are documented records of soldiers being spit on after Vietnam.

I haven't heard this guy say one good thing. I said yesterday he sounds like a guy on a 1000 watt am station that you hear at 2am while driving cross-country

I know he did some fill ins on the national show during this time slot. He was our local Madison guy but we lost the show for finances. He's not quite ready for national but he's really knowledgeable and he is the sweetheart of the earth. He's subbed for Rachel Maddow too.

29. Dave Barber is woefully unprepared and out of his element

He did fine YESTERDAY when he was discussing Criminal Justice and discrimination by the police, though.

Why?

Two reasons:

1) Barber studied Criminal Justice in school, and had a good background in the subject.
2) He asked his audience for their own, PERSONAL experiences.

Barber's formula seems to be to take the lazy approach, and make his audience call-in to do the intellectual heavy-lifting.

On yesterday's topic, he did fine.

But on all other days, he shows up at work unprepared, and when his limited knowledge of the topics strains the limits of his tiny little brain, he ARGUES with his callers who know MORE than he does about the subject at hand!

It's fine if he wants to QUESTION their assertions, but to actually be confrontational and argumentative when he knows next to nothing?

Since there isn't a longassgermanword for what he is, I'll have to just say that Dave Barber is an asshole.
