He seemed to think the Presidency is a kind of rotating monarchy. And that "I'm the Decider" attitude was used both at home and abroad. No consensus-building, no discussion, not even a passing respect for basic reality. It was all about giving one lone moron the ability to decide everything with his gut.
Not real effective.
