5. No, Juan. Jaime is two syllables. You need one
for people to get the parallel.

8. "Juan Crow" works better...
...because it sounds more like "Jim Crow". Anyone who hears it, gets it. Anyway if you want to get technical and do a straight up translation, it would be "Jaime Cuervo" -- and that would just confuse people.

Focusing too much on syllables is an error.

Juan Crow is not very distinct sounding... Juan is a softer syllable than Jim.

Diego and Jaime are both Spanish equivalents of James. Of the two Diego has the stronger sound... more syllables but it rhymes with Crow. Jaime is the mostly distinctly associable with Jim Crow, but people would mispronounce it.

I dunno... however it works out.
