1. That is the difference between the two shows
Southpark just up and waps you along side the head with a 2 by four

The Simpsons just up and ever slow slightly and quickly, shows, states or pretends something that goes over the kids heads straight to the adults.

3. No, the difference is that South Park is still funny 90% of the time.
Watched the Simpsons last night kind of by accident for the first time in a while... oof, was it bad. Missed the opening chalkboard gag though.

5. well, perhaps that falls in the 10% then
The Facebook episode from a couple weeks back was pretty brilliant, especially the first half.

"Stan, poke your Grandma."

10. the simpsons is clearly not what it once was
but I've never found South Park all that funny, personally. It's had its moments, but on balance I'd still rather take my chances on a new episode of The Simpsons ...

7. Saw it. My wife and I had a good laugh.
I wish more people would stand with the south park creators.

11. Greyl, I have no idea how to make that my avatar.
The one I currently have is only there because it was offered by DU.

Also, judging by the threads that were locked this weekend, I'm pretty sure I would be tombstoned for that avatar.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out why every other message in certain threads were Deleted Message.

14. Really?
I missed the threads & controversy about it here. My post in the Atheists and Agnostics group about the avatar is still wide open.
