Attack on Convoy of NATO Oil Tankers in Pakistan Leaves Three Police Dead (6 More Tankers Destroyed)

Authorities have said that three police officers were killed and a fourth was wounded in an attack on a convoy of NATO oil tankers near Talagang, Pakistan.

Dawn reported on Sunday that attackers opened fire on the convoy Saturday, destroying at least six tankers carrying supplies for NATO troops in Afghanistan.

Officials said that drivers sped away in six other tankers, sparing them from destruction.

The attack was carried out by about 30 armed men riding in three jeeps, Dawn, citing sources, said.

2. This comes on the heels of 10 tankers being destroyed in Afghanistan
by civilians.
