against wall st reform today?
i don't go there, but i'm curious to hear about how they're justifying this in their tiny little minds.
of course, i also await with bated breath from the teabaggers to speak out furiously over this...

3. Here's my excuse for not giving you a comprehensive answer. |
|
You got me curious, so I went over to the FReakshow to investigate. I formed a quick impression that the general attitude is "This bill would give more power to some government bureaucrats, all of whom are known to be totally incompetent, so the bill is bad."
I didn't read enough to be confident that that's a fair characterization, though. I was distracted by a thread titled "Can Obama legally Bear Arms against British, Kenyan or Indonesian Governments?" I mean, this sounds like Tom Tomorrow exaggerating wingnut statements to make a satirical point -- but it's stark literal truth.
One contributor (if that's the right word) to this thread writes, "He has pi##ed off so many of our allies, I’m waiting for the day one of these countries refuses to accept him as a representative of the United States. Wouldn’t it be great to have a country refuse to negotiate with obamarama until he proves he is legally able to be president. I would love to see Russia’s Putin do this." So, over at Free Republic, we now have these ardent patriots rooting for the godless Communist leader of Russia to take on the President of the United States and win.
What they don't know is that we have a secret weapon. If Putin does rear his head over this issue, Obama will enlist Sarah Palin to deal with the threat, based on her vast knowledge of Putin and Russia. Ha! You Freepers never saw that one comin', I betcha!

that does sound like Tom Tomorrow satire. so, IOW, few people are discussing it, but the majority of them are off in la la land discussing obscenely ridiculous scenarios while simultaneously rooting for the president of Russia?
your excuse for not giving a comprehensive answer is completely accepted.
