JimRob pathetically begging FR for $$ to keep "delivering pages"
Give me a break, how much does it cost to keep that 1994 style site up??

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2500758/posts

He's saying he needs "1500 Freepers paying $20 a month." For THAT??

"Free Republic is currently delivering over 1.2 million pageviews to over 230,000 visitors per day. That's 40 million pageviews to 7 million visitors per month or 120 million pageviews per quarter, 480 million pageviews per year. We currently have over 350,000 registered screen names on FR...."

350,000 and they can't get 1500 to fork out $20...pathetic!

1. Aren't they holding fundraisers more often than not?
Pathetic. Their site is so lame, they are conservatives alright..afraid of changing their website.

2. Or in their parlance, "looking for a handout!"
Cuz I'm tellin' ya none of that money has made the slightest improvement - it's so archaic!

10. It's only a handout if the government gives it
In their worldview, voluntary arrangements like that are what is supposed to take the place of taxation. So whilst I'm loath to defend Freepers, I can't fault them for hypocricy on this occasion.

A chicken shouldn't be forced to live with a creature whose brain is even smaller than the chicken's.

maybe they could go to 6 month semi-annual funders?
