1. Fuck, that was never true
The only people who wanted the huddled masses were corporations who wanted to pay them shit and keep American wages low. Same as it ever was.

4. Bullshit. Hate to burst your bubble, but mass immigration was all about low wage lackies
And that was true for your relatives too.

5. Here's the whole thing:
" Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
' With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!""

7. Hell yeah! I just wish it was easier to work in other countries
I am in the process of saving money to try to get a work holiday visa in Australia. It is only good for a year and only for temporary jobs. I think that New Zealand and Ireland are the only other countries to do this for Americans. I really really want to travel and expand my horizons and cant just holiday but am doing the best I can . Civis Mundi Sum baby!
