Challenger critical of Feingold
By JIM LEUTE
Tuesday, April 27, 2010

JANESVILLE — Democrats wasted little time Monday in attacking Richard Leinenkugel’s intention to replace Russ Feingold as one of two Wisconsin senators.

After weeks of speculation about his U.S. Senate candidacy, the Republican made it official in a vacant manufacturing facility in Janesville, Feingold’s hometown. snip

Leinenkugel criticized Feingold’s record, saying he voted against treating terrorists as terrorists, for a health care bill he said will bankrupt the nation and for government-run car companies.

“He voted against the Patriot Act—twice, and the list goes on,” Leinenkugel said of Feingold.

1. I love Russ.
If I wind up moving to Wisconsin, I'm going to try to get a job in his local office.

3. Russ is indeed a rare treasure.
BTW, where in WI might you be moving to? I'm sure we can come up with a few errant DUers to welcome you.

6. Likely Madison. It's a long ways off and it probably won't happen.
This fall I'm entering a Masters of Public Policy program at UCLA. My fiance is from Wisconsin, so in two years I might be moving there when I'm looking for jobs. Since I'm going to be studying in California, the odds are that I'll make connections here while I'm in school for my next gig. But if I moved to Wisco, it would be fun to meet up with some other DUers.

Here's a picture of me with Russ in Hudson, WI when I was a field organizer for the Obama campaign there.

5. Boy is inexperience showing in that video! I don't know who's advising
him, but I could have been a better advisor & I don't have any experience at that kind of a job! If he doesn't improve fairly soon, Russ has nothing to fear.

7. I'm voting for him in the republican primary.
Just to piss off the local talk radio schmucks. Then voting for Russ in the real election.
