Glenn Beck got all worked up yesterday defending Arizonans from the outrageous, slanderous comparisons of their fair new police state to Nazi Germany. Heaven forfend:

Beck: Arizona sure is putting the AZ in Nazi. I really hate to rain on the hate parade, but could we slow down for just a second here and ask: You’re out of your mind? Are you comparing the systematic cold-blooded extermination of millions of Jews, to America making sure people are here legally? The parallels are non-existent.

a wall is the only sensible solution. it wouldn't be flawless but it would be near enough - i mean, some people might tunnel but not enough to matter. i'm not sure why the wall idea is so hard to get off the drawing board. probably since it would work, and powerful people don't really want it to work.

The proposal for a wall during the Bush administration would have cost more than the Apollo moon mission even after you extrapolated for today's dollars. The costs for sustaining such a wall would be staggering, and STILL wouldn't be effective. Anyone who has spent any length of time around the border and understands the dynamics involved in such an undertaking will tell you it's a stupid fucking idea. If you want to stop illegal immigration, start putting their employers in jail. The solution is really that simple, but it's one that the GOP will never support because the reality is their business interests that control their puppet strings would never allow it. The border fence idea was just a ruse to silence the ignorant masses that are demanding action. If you are trying to stop them at the border, you have already conceded defeat.

Apparently someone made mention of the ADL in relation to Glen Beck in a post above. I don't know what their comment was because it was deleted.

My question and comment is that the ADL has been alleging for years that Americans who oppose illegal immigration, and do not support amnesty and open borders are haters and racists. Do you think the ADL also harbors these same beliefs when it comes to Israeli policy and how they secure their borders and deal with illegal immigration and request papers please? If not why not?

Someone else initiated the ADL discussion. I just responded to your response which was I thought a sincere question about the ADL and why they criticize US citizens as being racists and haters for wanting to lawfully close US borders, yet the ADL says nothing about Israel for closing its borders and building their walls and their very aggressive selective immigration policy. You seem to be knowledgeable on the ADL so I would appreciate some understanding on their split philosophy.

Actually I rarely concern myself with Israel or the ADL, but you seem to be truly obsessed and immersed in it. Most of your posts are in the thick of it.

I challenge you to examine all of my 190 posts and tell me what percent had anything to do with Israel or ADL. My guesstimate is 5% at most (10 posts). So I find your statement truly hypocritical that I dwell on this subject. The only thing I dwell on is how the average citizens of the USA are getting screwed royally by Wall Street elite, multi-national corporations, corrupt politicians mostly Republican but some Democratic, and a corporate media that has its own agenda that has nothing to do with keeping the USA honest.
