KDKA Radio has hired another F'in Wingnut Host
KDKA-AM (1020) is adding a new talk host to its lineup. Kevin Miller, an Ohio native who filled in for KDKA afternoon host Fred Honsberger recently, will host a weekday talk show from 12:15 to 3 p.m. starting May 14.

Miller comes from talk station WWTN-FM in Nashville, Tenn., where he was morning show host. He has also worked at stations in Raleigh, N.C.; Birmingham, Ala.; and Nashua, N.H.

Honsberger will move to 3 to 6 p.m., with the last hour of that shift devoted to an increased role in the station's "5 O'Clock Total News Hour."

Kevin Miller (b. 1968) is a conservative American talk radio host and political pundit who has been featured on many national news programs, including The Today Show, Leeza Gibbons, CNN, and MSNBC. Miller has also been featured in The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun.

After graduating in 1993 with a degree in Secondary Education from the University of Akron, Miller taught social studies in the Akron public school system.


Radio Experience
Miller's first radio job was in Nashua, New Hampshire where he hosted "Miller in the Morning," a frequent stop for presidential candidates during the 1996 campaign. It was here that Pat Buchanan dubbed Miller as "the Pat Buchanan of New Hampshire." He was featured in the first issue George Magazine for his political coverage.

Miller's success in New Hampshire captured the interest of management at Huntsville, Alabama's WVNN, who hired Kevin to their afternoon slot that launched the career of Sean Hannity. From there, Miller went on to WERC in Birmingham, Alabama where he hosted a show and served as program director. In Birmingham, Miller received national media attention for his coverage of the Shirley Henson road rage incident and the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing trials.

I'm really surprised that they can pull in enough advertising to survive. Maybe Dickie Scaiff subsidizes them.
