Abramoff - "Octagon1" email = One of the most censored stories of all time?

Jack Abramoff has indicated that he knew that the US would invade Iraq before the American public did.

On March 18, 2002, Jack Abramoff told a friend, known as Octagon1, that "I was sitting with Karl Rove, Bush's top advisor, at the NCAA basketball game, discussing Israel when (your) email came in. I showed it to him. It seems that the President was very sad to have to come out negatively regarding Israel but that they needed to mollify the Arabs for the upcoming war on Iraq. That did not seem to work anyway. Bush seems to love Sharon and Israel, and thinks Arabfat (sic) is nothing but a liar. I thought I'd pass that on."

Because of the date, one should note that this was written before the Downing Street memo, the Bush-Blair memo, and Niger uranium documents forgery were written. This was also before the Office of Special Plans and the White House Iraq Group were created. This was even before Congress even authorized Bush the authority to invade Iraq with the Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq.

"Mollify the Arabs for the upcoming war on Iraq" should be a household phrase, but a Google News Search looking through the archives when this email was revealed turns up 1 result.

It was planned well in advance. It was planned by people that have zero military experience and the only thing they knew of combat was from John Wayne movies. They truly believed it would be a very simple matter "a cakewalk" so to speak. What Iraq has turned into has truly blown their little minds. Now they are startying to scurry like a cornered rat. Looking frantically for a place to hide and biting at anything that comes close...If only Waxman could somehow get Cheney's Energy meetings minutes or a participating witness to come forward. It was all laid out on the table way before 9-11 and the oil sites were divvied up. Haliburton was promised a huge government contract (no-bid) of course and everything went according to plans,...uhhh well almost. The Iraqi people decided they had a thing or two to say about things...Cheney just can not believe he has been outsmarted by a bunch of "ragheads" as he would put it...Cheney is a man who has lived without consequences for decades and just can not fathom any now.. He is probably right in that he will never truly be held accountable for his actions..
