I think I'm a supporter of three anti-Arizona SB1070 groups.

1. I canceled my facebook account. It takes 14 days to be permanently deleted but ...
I don't want advertisers flocking to this site and extracting personal information.

3. If you don't like it, just don't go on it.
What's the big deal?

5. I don't. The problem is young and irresponsible users posting dangerously personal data.
In addition to which, it's essentially an Internet within the Internet. What does facebook do that the whole Internet doesn't already do better, except cater to the dangerously ignorant?

6. It just connects people's stories and things they want to talk about.
It doesn't need to be anything more than just facilitating conversation.

I think it's funny how people who don't like the idea of social networking want to make it a bigger deal than it actually is.

I post something funny and my friends comment on it.

So they want to take the things that I like and use to advertise to me? Big deal. Dangerously personal data, like the bands I like or pictures that I have willingly posted on the site.

If privacy was really that big of a concern, I would suggest that people not log onto the internet at all.
