ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police say the soldier accused of killing his wife and 8-month-old daughter before shooting himself in the head remains unconscious and unresponsive.

Lt. Dave Parker told The Anchorage Daily News that Kip Lynch hasn’t been charged because he can’t communicate.

The bodies of Racquell Lynch, 19, and the couple’s daughter, Kyirsta, were discovered Monday morning after Kip Lynch failed to show up for work. He was found critically injured in another part of their apartment.

The 21-year-old military policeman from Jacksonville, Fla., had no criminal history in Alaska. He had returned in February from a year-long deployment to Afghanistan with the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division.

3. Horrible.
We need to take the stigma out of getting necessary psychiatric care.

(Incidentally, terrible headline. It makes it seem like the baby is unconscious)
