Ticket sales surprisingly low for Palin event Sunday in Wichita
WICHITA, Kansas - Ticket sales have been surprisingly slow, so now Bethel Life School is slashing prices to see Sarah Palin this Sunday.

Bethel Life says no matter how many tickets they sell they maintain the fundraiser for their Christian School is already a success. But with her visit just two days away, thousands of tickets remain unsold.

"We're not going to know how much money we make -- whether we make money, whether we break even -- until Sunday," said Ted Barney with the Bethel Life School Association. "That's going to come out Sunday night."

Intrust Bank Arena has made 6,500 tickets available for the Palin event. Bethel Life won't comment on how many tickets they've sold. An operator at Select-A-Seat told KSN "they haven't sold many."

3. I have wondered how long even $arah's worshippers would put up with her.
She never says anything new. The things she does say, like "Drill baby drill", are idiotic and (as we see in the Gulf) ill advised. Her voice and delivery are annoying. She appears only on Fox "News", on right-wing hate radio, and at Klan rallies. She holds no office.

$arah deserves to be marginalized. Right back to Wasilla.

12. The ticket prices are far too high for such a blue collar, middle class city.
Economic reality has finally conquered overblown conservative hoopla in this instance.

11. Hey there, completely different topic, but could you answer me a question?
Namely what is going on in the Wichita education system. When I went to MOJOE they were one of the few school systems hiring, and they were hiring everybody. Are they having a massive layoff or what?

Back on Palin, perhaps her celebrity credibility is finely wearing out. I think that if we simply wouldn't pay attention to her on the left, she would go away:shrug:

I have no idea. I spent last weekend in DC with AFT and Wichita union leaders were there. They sure didn't say anything about openings.

I mean they were literally hiring for every position. But I've got home here in Missouri, and after all, it is Wichita:evilgrin:

Just thought you might know something, it seemed really odd since few districts even knew if they were going to have positions open, and Wichita was hiring wholesale:shrug:

26. They were hiring
Large sign in front of their table with all the positions they supposedly had open. It isn't like they were making the hiring decision right on the spot, but they were taking in resumes and interviewing folks.

17. A Year From Now She'll Be Lucky To Draw Flies...
The backstory the corporate media that loves Mooselini isn't telling is how the grifter is burning a lot of bridges as she galavants across the country. Her high price tag is the opposite of what Raygun did...he'd show up at hundreds of chicken dinners for free or basic expenses, helped the organization raise a lot of money and those favors got repaid when he ran for election. They may say it's no big thing if they "break even" now, but that's sure not going to be the case in the future...especially in these days when "charitable" giving is down.

The truth is that Bible Spice has a limited popularity and shelf life. The more she exposes herself, the more people on the other side get alienated by her...so much so, she hasn't won a straw poll at some very "conservative" events and she still hasn't fixed that credibility problem that makes her the butt of so many jokes.

In short, Palin is a celebrity politician...with no real political base and purely a creation of the corporate media. She doesn't know it yet...and the more she craps on and fails to deliver for those who pay her big bills, the closer the day comes that she'll be part of a "where are they now" show.

If they lose money on the fundraiser, they deserve it for being so stupid.

if she can't sling 65-hundred tix in Wichita.

Palin's a bargain-bin has-been before the primary season's really started.

Edited on Fri Apr-30-10 08:53 AM by cbdo2007
on Saturday. The surrounding areas here in MO are very heavily Repube so she's definitely losing some steam.

There is no way she's still getting $100,000 for most of these appearances. Probably $50,000
