Rachel Madow has posted a post-show fact check of her segment with the racist AZ group's leader

On the show tonight, Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, denied giving money to Protect Arizona Now, which was pushing the Prop 200 immigration initiative in 2004. One of PAN's top leaders was Virginia Abernethy, a self-proclaimed "ethnic separatist."

"We never gave that organization a dime," Stein told us. "And secondly, even if we were going to give them a dime, we wouldn't have given them a dime with Virginia Abernethy associated with it."

Let's look at FAIR's website, shall we? It refers directly to financial support for Virginia Abernethy's PAN.

2. These Weasels Can't Deal With The Light...

Kudos to Rachel...saw the "interview" and have seen Stein before...a real "work".

These shitstains are used to operating under the radar...spreading the money, the hate and the lies where they aren't seen and hope they become talking points or to astroturf lies that others have started. It's right out of the Morton Blackwell school...and when you start peeling away the layers of this stinkin' onion you see how these cowards will try to deny even when caught red handed hoping that since they are so invisible no one will notice.

It's been long overdue to start exposing all the tentacles of the right wing hate machine...the money, the many hidden characters and their modus operandi that has created a lot of the divisions and hatred we see today. Again, many, many thanks to Rachel for exposing this fraud and liar and may she continue to hammer.

3. I, too, watched the interview last night. Truthfully, I didn't get much

out of it other than I sensed Rachel thought Stein was not truthful. I wish Rachel had allowed Stein to talk more. It seems that when she gets emotional about an issue she can't tell us fast or loud enough her reasoning. Hopefully, she will take Stein up on their agreement to meet again. I'm going to look at the FAIR'S website.

11. Wow...I had the distinctly opposite reaction...

Stein talked a LOT, giving a long spiel without interruption...Then when Rachel tried to talk he talked OVER her....The "emotional" one was Stein, not Rachel, who could barely get a word in edgewise.
