A Tale of Two Women....
Last night as I was thinking about my Mother-in-Laws funeral today, I was overcome with how important she was too me.

Of course my mother, who passed almost 20 years ago, came to mind.

I thought about how much these two women have meant to me over the years...

Betty never complained which is something I cannot say I never do. But whenever I start to feel sorry for myself, my thoughts inevitably turn toward Betty and I soon realize that I just have to keep going on with my life. After all, if I don’t do it, no one else will.

My mom is my other guiding spirit. She battled various kinds of cancer for almost 20 years before she was taken from us shortly after Laurie and I were married. She also never complained; never let it show that she was in what was almost surely relentless pain. I never once caught even the slightest grimace.

Please help me celebrate these two women who meant so much to me...

1. What a beautiful thought...
Your eloquence brought the sting of tears to my eyes...

I wish there was some way that these two women could know, now, how much their love and support has meant to you over the years...

They helped shape you into the terrific, loving, intelligent man you are today.

I hope, when I am gone, to have such eloquence follow me.

Blessings on you, Chris, today and always...

2. I celebrate both these incredible women--and I celebrate you.
You have my utmost admiration and how fortunate you were to have two such strong women in your life. Truly inspirational and I thank you for sharing your story. (Just went on your blog. Amazing indeed!)

May you continue to be surrounded by Betty and your mother's love as you face life's challenges.

Blessings.
