" Glenn Beck's show on the Fox News Channel may be a joke to a lot of Americans, but it turns out that joke may not be original. A 1994 comedy sketch by Kids in the Hall's Dave Foley bears a remarkable resemblance to the Fox News host.


In the prescient bit, Foley acts the part of a conservative television host warning of the danger of communist Russians. The Soviet Union had been dismantled by that time but Foley's character feared a plot by Russians to destroy America.


The sketch began in classic Glenn Beck style. "Let sleeping gods lie. I say, no! And you know what sleeping dogs I'm referring to, don't you? No? Well let me refresh your memory. Russians. That's right. Russians. Ruskies. Communists!"


----Sixteen years later and out of character, Dave Foley joined MSNBC's Keith Olbermann to talk about the sketch's similarity to Beck's show.


"I like to comfort myself by thinking Glenn Beck has never seen it because I would hate to think he was actually a Kids in the Hall fan. I don't want to contribute to his happiness in any way," Foley told Olbermann.
