Say it enough times??

Boehner: GOP could pick up 100 seats
By Michael O'Brien - 04/30/10 10:39 AM ET

House Republicans could win 100 or more seats in this fall's elections, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Friday.

Boehner said he believes there is no seat that the GOP cannot win during this election cycle, judging by Sen. Scott Brown's (R) improbable win in January's special election in Massachusetts.

Reflecting Republican optimism that they can win back control of the House this fall, Boehner said 2010 has the widest playing field for Republicans in a while.

"Let me remind you that Scott Brown won the Ted Kennedy Senate seat in Massachusetts," Boehner said during an appearance on National Public Radio. "If Scott Brown can win in America, there isn't a seat in America that Republicans can't win."

They'll need screwdrivers to unscrew them first, and I don't see screwdrivers going well with their expensive suits.

10. Ever the optimist, isn't he?
I would be very afraid to be an incumbent Republican this election year. They have sided with the Money Changers against families, and so have handed their opponents a very big stick. I hope the Dems won't be speaking too softly.

Heck, just say the entire House will be 435 Republicans, throw all the logic out the window.

35. unfortunately they probably will
Let's not forget that all these accidents in West virginia, kentucky, louisiana are all red states. What do red states want? They want deregulation. They got it. This is what happens. If they had the sense to see past their ass they would vote democratic but they wont. And I come from Indiana so I know what it is like to be in a red state and just see the constant stupidity.

15. Toss up between the tan man and
McConnell - can't make up my mind which one I detest the most.

The bullshit of Mitch's wife holding a cabinet position in the *bush Regime pissed me off to no end. Secretary of Labor, no less!

My daughter in law couldn't get a freakin toll collectors job on the NJ Turnpike because her father was one. :WTF: I don't see where there would be a conflict of interest collecting tolls or a bias on either ones part as to what toll to charge.

16. i agree with Boehner.
the GOP could have 100 seats TOTAL in november.

current balance is 257:178. a 79 seat advantage. he proposes that dems will lose 39% of their current seats? he's aware of republican gerrymandering efforts, right?

19. He's right
"If Scott Brown can win in America, there isn't a seat in America that Republicans can't win."

The voting machines are all plugged in and ready to go.

And no even a whimper about the machined count in Mass. No wonder he believes.
I do too. There isn't a seat in America that Republicans can't steal.

28. Lets be realist..
The GOP is a threat. It isn't because they are going to steal the election. If you really think they stole an election in a majority democratic states, like Mass., you are kidding yourself.

It is time to attack, make them vote against popular measures (i.e. Wall street reform bill, and get out there and work. 100 seats is a little much, but they could very well win the house.

29. No not kidding myself
I know whereof I speak. Unlike others I have educated myself about the way our votes are counted.

But they got you believing they wouldn't steal elections? Sad.

And he's getting that number from Dick Morris who said it last summer while the town halls were going on, before the healthcare bill was passed, before the economy started to improve somewhat, before a lot of things happened.

Heck over in the Senate even Harry's poll numbers are looking better but he still has a tough fight.

The latest number I'm hearing is 20 or so....
