BIG difference between Bush's Katrina and Obama's oil spill. |
|
Bush knew on Friday that Katrina was going to kick the Gulf states in the ass Sunday night, yet he continued playing and having fun on vacation. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday he continued attending birthday parties, playing golf, and making fund raising speeches while New Orleans drowned. Finally, his staff was forced to create a DVD of the disaster and make him watch the damn thing. For 5 fucking days he ignored the greatest national disaster in US history!
Obama has been on the job, not on vacation, playing golf, eating cake, and totally ignoring another potential massive disaster!

4. You're...you're fucking kidding me, right? |
|
You honestly think this?
You think that knowing a disaster is coming and doing absolutely nothing to prevent it and allowing thousands of people to drown in a hurricane is comparable to this?

the planet can take before we all start dying off?
The time to care about the planet is NOW.
Or there will be NO future generations of PEOPLE or LIFE of any kind.

9. So you don't agree with his decision on offshore drilling. Fine. That's your right. |
|
But to say he somehow bears any responsibility for the oil rig disaster is akin to saying he made you run out of toilet paper.

12. I don't think the oil spill is a priority to Obama. Hell, he made sure to say that he wants to go |
|
forward with offshore drilling despite this epic disaster.
What * did in Katrina was vile beyond words, but you can't ignore that this catastrophe has and will kill untold wildlife.
Wildlife and the health of the planet matters as much as people do.
We are ALL connected.

is Obama's bait and switch for climate bill. Once that gets passed we will re-visit the feasibility of off-shore drilling.

13. Maybe he should go to the Gulf tomorrow and cancel his little correspondence party. |
|
I can just imagine the wingnut response if he is partying with the press during such a disaster.

|
on the coast? resources needed in the relief effort would be spent on guarding his motorcade and stuff, his helicopter swarm would get in the way too.
