Republicans really have a lot of nerve...

They ARE the traditional Big Oil party and are the force behind letting the oil companies get away with murder.

It's because of the GOP that US based oil rigs don't need to have those cut off valves that are the standard everywhere else in the world.

And after years of all this coddling, when the shit hit the fan, it's now all Obama's fault?

2. They keep topping themselves as brain dead zombies.
You'd think after the first 500 times they were wrong, they'd do a re-assessment.

But, no, reality doesn't phase them. Not even if it will wipe out their kids.

10. It was an expansion of offshore drilling.
Now you're just attempting to spin it into something that looks less ignorant and irresponsible than it was.

Good luck!

Obama didn't act quickly enough. Correct me, when this first happened, the same day didn't Obama say that we would supply any thing they needed to contain the spill and help in the clean up.

what more is he supposed to have done? Fly over the oil slick in an airplane.

14. the real reason
Of course what is the REAL reason why the republicans want to drill in the US. The answer is simple..cause it benefits their wealthy corporation friends at Exxon and Helliburton. Instead of looking for a cleaner solution to our fuel. So when the republicans get their way, these oil companies can charge 4 dollars a gallon

20. You realize that the government makes...
...more money on a barrel of oil than the oil companies, correct?

He needs to replace all those lost revenues that evaporated during the "Great Recession" or we're going to turn into a financial Greece.

It's drill, dig, cut and tax or a "severe austerity plan". Nobody is going to buy our debt just because we want the money.

* This is not an endorsement of any one option or the other.*
