1. To be perfectly honest, he should add Mary Landrieu to the

list of malefactors. And David "Mr. Family Values" Vitter. They're both oil industry shills that promoted offshore drilling.

"Mary Landrieu has received $252,950 in oil contributions during the 110th congress. $163,600 of those dollars were from industry PACS. In total, Landrieu has accepted $574,005 from oil companies since from 2000 to 2008, which makes her one of the highest recipients of oil money.<10> In addition to oil, Landrieu has received $69,458 in coal contributions during the 110th congress. $54,108 of those dollars were from industry PACS.See above for her oil and energy voting record."

5. Palin didn't get elected he did. She didn't expand offshore drilling either
Though he is now having second thoughts about it.

Palin had nothing to do with this. I don't really blame Obama either (not like he blew up the rig, shit happens).

8. Plenty of DU'ers are practically talking about this mess like he did blow up the rig.
Rush doesn't need their help. He'll push that bullshit all by himself.

13. That's the kind of crap Keith does. I don't find it particularly productive. Frankly, we should
focus on BP and the rest of the corporations involved instead of blaming Obama or Palin. I do actually feel like the LA congressional delegation probably does have some responsibility because they fight regulations on the oil industry. It reminds me of how the Michigan Congressional delegation fought all the attempts to increase mileage requirements, etc. I think that ended up hurting the auto industry by letting them continue with out-dated crap. It is the same with the mining industry. Sad. The repercussions are enormous.

17. no worries
KO has been wearing on me lately.
Being the Rush or Hannity of the left isn't going to move this country forward.
Naming the slick after Palin is just as dopey as Rush saying it is Obama's fault.
I really do hope this makes Obama rethink his offshore oil idea...

19. Keith is NOT the Rush or Hannity of the left. That's false equivalence.
And he named the slick after Sarah because she's still defending "drill, baby, drill" in her tweets. Why this is dopey I do not comprehend.

22. That's really beside the point right now.
Sarah Palin and what she does or doesn't do or say is really immaterial to the disaster that's unfolding in the Gulf. LAst I looked, she has NO say in what happens now to environmental policy, cleanup, legal liability, the future of offshore drilling, etc. Her opinion matters no more than mine.

And, yes, KO's penchant for dragging Palin, Glenn Beck, et. al. into any story he's covering is getting a little tiresome. Maybe he should stop feeding the beast that is Right wing lunacy and try to have a substantive discussion without bringing in the worn-out punching bags of Palin, Beck, et. al. Like it or not, he carries a lot of water for them by giving them so much **undeserved** attention on his show every. single. night. It's become tedious and predictable and is one of the main reasons why I don't make it a point to watch Countdown much anymore. We get it, Keith: They're all idiots who say stupid things. Can we move on now?

4. The more spills we have, the better we all get at containing them
Its 3D chess and an amazing strategy. We need more drilling, and subsequently, more spills. You are missing the forest through the oil littered fish corpses.

Saves time and money when frying-up the fishkill.

21. That's what we get with "safe" moderate corporate Democrats.
It always comes back to hurt the party in the long run.
