Sounds like the policeman with the lawsuit against enforcement of AZ law |
|
Doesnt want to be compelled because he already knows some who are here illegally. He was just talking to Sanjay Gupta on CNN.
I wonder if that is why they are being required to enforce the law if there is a reasonable suspicion. The authors of the law may have realized that there may be no more appetite to enforce immigration laws by local enforcement than there is by federal enforcement.

1. There's the matter of priorities. Spend time checking every brown person or deal with dangerous stuf |
|
If you need witnesses, and nobody wants to be hassled, guess what... no witnesses so dangerous people (of what ever color, nationality) are more likely to keep on being dangerous to society.
Good cops (and there are plenty) want to stop the bad guys, not spend time rousting harmless people who are just trying to live.
The law WILL cause a lot of legal residents and AMERICAN BORN citizens to be harasses. It will harm relations between law enforcement and citizens. That makes things more dangerous for cops and the general population.
