Quote from Red October: I will live in... Arizona. Actually, |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-30-10 10:02 PM by Xipe Totec
Captains Borodin and Ramius discussing their plans after defecting from the Soviet Union to the US:
Capt. Vasili Borodin: I will live in Montana. And I will marry a round American woman and raise rabbits, and she will cook them for me. And I will have a pickup truck... maybe even a "recreational vehicle." And drive from state to state. Do they let you do that? Captain Ramius: I suppose. Capt. Vasili Borodin: No papers? Captain Ramius: No papers, state to state. Capt. Vasili Borodin: Well then, in winter I will live in... Arizona. Actually, I think I will need two wives. Captain Ramius: Oh, at least.

6. That part of the movie always rips my heart out. |

It makes me feel so ashamed that there are people out there who think that being allowed to drive from state to state without asking for permission first is something worth fantasizing about, and it's something that the people here hardly think twice about.
We take so much for granted. So very much.
