Oh, that' right! The Free Market shows up when there's money to be made. It leaves the messes for the "socialist" government to clean up!

1. why isn't bobby jindal refusing any federal help with cleaning up this spill anyway.
i mean, isn't that overreach?? And of course he'll refuse any federal money to deal with this mess or anything resulting from it as well.

3. So...now we need to go get a "socialist" government to clean up the oil spill?
I'm all for requiring the 'free' market to 'pay' for their own mistakes - they can't provide the assurance or the expertise to do so, in advance, then they don't do business

4. Exactly
Privatize profits and socialize loses - it's the corporate way here in America. Even if we don't pay like we did for the socialized bank bailout, we will pay for this in higher gas prices have no doubt. I'm actually all for socialism - at least a socialist democracy - these huge corporations have proven time and time and time and time again that all they care about is $$$$, not people and don't care about the damage they cause one bit.

5. You're talking about trickle down. This is trickle (gush) up. It doesn't apply here.

8. Don't forget the "Self Regulating" part fo the Free Market
See the industries bribed the Republicans and convinced them that they would protect their own infrastructure.

Coal Mines
Oil Rigs

What's next?

9. The "free market" is run by consumers. We "act" on the oil spill by stopping
the use of oil.

Go ahead, you first!
