5. Why not?

8. He's 76 years old. That's my first of many reasons why this is a lousy idea.
I don't trust him either.

4. Nader will go down in history as the man who's ego was so
out of control that he helped George Bush become President.

7. Give him a seat on the court and he will never run for any office again.
Lots of upside to this move.

22. Better than a being written by someone who still
denys the facts about what Nader did in 2000.

24. Tell that to the thousands of families with an empty seat at the table because ...
Nader decided there wasn't a "dime's worth of difference" between Al Gore and the drunken frat boy. Ralph's ego got in the way, and the country is still paying for it. If you can't face up to that harsh reality, I suggest drinking heavily, or maybe Rush will lend you some of his Oxy.

10. I like that idea--Nader has spent his lifetime fighting for better conditions for average Americans
though he is a bit old, as mentioned.

those who carry water for the PTB vehemently disagree, however.

14. It seems an unlikely pick.
On the topic of the High Court, it is my personal hope that Justices Roberts, Thomas, Scalia, and Alito all decide over a power lunch this coming Tuesday to resign their current positions, effective immediately, to opt for a retirement on a wooden boat in the Indian Ocean wherein and whereon to pursue a life of deep-sea diving, and while so pursuing become the mid-morning snack of a heretofore prehistoric marine creature, large and primitively stupid and ravenously hungry.

"I concede that it strains credulity" as a possible turn of fate, to borrow a line from Geoffrey Rush. But still. The appeal is resonant.

19. Nader overworks and underpays his own employees...
Absolutely not for the SCOTUS.

Friend of the working stiff? Absolutely not. He has always been strictly for St. Ralph.

20. Hi, hayu_lol. I think babylonsister nailed it with the man's age.
He's been around a while, Ralph has. Very purposefully as a consumer advocate but IMO not very effectively in his quests for the White House.

I'm not a Nader fan. Very smart guy but not especially attuned to the notion of consensus-building.

23. This idea can be summeds up neatly in one word: Ridiculous
but why stop there when it's so much fun to elaborate.

He's too old.

He'd NEVER get confirmed.

Stupid idea.

A Supreme Court Justice fighting FOR Consumer Protections and Economic Justice FOR Working Americans!

Too bad The "Centrist" Democrats would never confirm someone who STANDS for those values.

All Hail the Giant Invisible Hand.
The Invisible Hand will save us ALL.

.
.
.
And people say The Democrats are anti-religion.
